Zurli brand identity cover

The problem

Zurli had grown into a giant name in kids’ entertainment — shows, merchandise, children shouting when they spot the characters — without ever having a brand identity. What they had was an outdated logo that looked like it was drawn in the 1990s.

The solution

Sometimes all it takes is a light touch: flat, but not too flat, and swap the “then” for the “now.” Brighter colours, and as much simplicity as you can muster in a world built on noise.

The challenge

Keep the logo close enough that children still recognise it instantly, while making it unmistakably modern. Kids are a brutal audience — they see every mistake and they tell you.

What it left behind

Five weeks, working alongside a brand strategy agency, to carry the client, the children and every character into the next chapter — with a happy heart.
